Your Questions,

Support at Home is the government's in-home care program that replaced Home Care Packages on 1 November 2025. It delivers personalised care, faster access, and more flexibility, so you can keep living safely and comfortably at home.

Australians aged 65 and over, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 50+, and those aged 50+ who are homeless or at risk of homelessness may be eligible.

Services include clinical and nursing care, personal care, everyday living assistance, assistive technology, home modifications, allied health, and short-term restorative care, all tailored to your individually assessed needs.

There may be a contribution based on the service type and your financial situation. Full pensioners typically contribute approximately 5–18% toward non-clinical services. Unused funds can roll over each quarter.

Support at Home is designed to be flexible. As your circumstances change, your care plan adapts, ensuring you always receive the right level of support to remain independent at home.

Primarily yes, the program is focused on older Australians and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people meeting the age criteria. Some pathways may also support people with more complex care needs.
